I live in a (metaphorical) cave, and like it very much.
This is a long-time truth. Pre-pre covid. And especially now.
For me, contemplative living doesn't need eyeballs, and public opinion/approval.
Being monastic in a hyper-material, chronically-connected world has always been troublesome to try and explain... defend... justify. So I stopped doing all that, and just lived. It's been great.
But now, 10-weeks away from a speaking engagement at a very meaningful venue... I want to offer attendees at least a lil' taste of who I am, and what I bring. So, here ya go.

Wow, Erika. Your voice in delicious. I agree on the need to filter out all that noise and social media. And the awkwardness we then feel after withdrawing. I limited my social media as much as possible (Facebook+Twitter) in 2021 and it was such a gift. Best of luck at the conference.
