Thank you for your visit, interest or curiosity.
In 1970, my dear Mom named me Erika.
I walk a path to Wholeness.

(What would you name
the life-path that you walk?)

For the first time in my word-loving life,
I have decided to dive into FICTION.

(Because it is never too late to pivot! And also because
is anyone really sure about this so-called "reality" anyway?)

So, please stay tuned for some soon-coming story,
setting, and dialogue deliciousness.

LEARN. DO.

At Valparaiso University, I did undergraduate studies in Philosophy
(because I sought wisdom), and Writing (because I sought expression.)

At Loyola University, I did graduate studies in Pastoral Care
(because I sought the intersection between divinity and humanity.)

At Duke University Medical Center, I trained as a resident hospice (end-of-life) chaplain.
That life-changing experience gifted me with insight into pure PRESENCE.

In early 2016 I left my country of origin,
and have lived as a monkish immigrant ever since.

I am grateful for the experiences and encounters

I have had the past 53 years of life on earth...

...but I don't over-identify with any confining, profiling check-box.
This includes my gender, ethnicity, neurodivergence,
accomplishments, possessions, beliefs, etc.

Every single aspect is incredibly important, but none --
on its own -- is robust enough to identify the entirety
of a person. (And especially a growing, evolving one.)

We are large. We contain multitudes.
